One such drama adaptation of a webtoon that fans have been eagerly waiting for is “See You In My 19th Life”. The webtoon tells the story of a Ban JiEum, a woman with a secret. She has reincarnated 19 times and retains the memories from all her past lives. This inevitably means that she is essentially hundreds of years old, at least when it comes to her mental age owing to the emotional baggage she has been carrying through 19 lives. However, this is not to say that she doesn’t go through the physical and mental developmental stages of life like childhood, adolescence, puberty, and so on just like everybody else. In her 18th life, she meets Moon SeoHa as JuWon, and their relationship as little kids changes her life for the better. However, after a tragic incident cuts her time short, she reincarnates in her 19th life and sets out to reconnect with those she left behind. According to reports, actress Shin HyeSun will be playing the leading role of Ban JiEum, our protagonist’s 19th reincarnation. Ban JiEum is witty, playful and quite obviously, always mature for her age. She holds deep wisdom but also has a longing for childlike innocence, something that drew JuWon to SeoHa at 12 years old in her 18th life.
Eventually JuWon and SeoHa get along well enough for them to deeply care for each other as something stirs inside JuWon. Just when she thought she had had enough of human relationships, especially their transient nature, her heart moves for SeoHa. As such, JuWon’s only wish as she leaves her 18th life is a prayer that she remembers SeoHa in her 19th. In her 19th life, JuWon is born as Ban JiEum, who lives her life with the aim of meeting SeoHa once again.
SeoHa relies on JuWon and wants nothing more than to attain her love and affection. He is understanding and brings out JuWon’s zest for life for the 18th time. SeoHa is attentive, innocent, and above all, sincere. After the tragic passing of JuWon, he grew distant but he hasn’t lost his spark or the innocence in his soul. It is clear, however, that he has internalized the trauma from losing JuWon and it pains him endlessly. In addition, it has also affected his hearing.
At the time of writing, there has been no announcement about the actor who will be playing SeoHa in the drama adaptation of “See You In My 19th Life”. As such, we picked 6 actors who we think would be perfect for the role of SeoHa. SeoHa has a quiet elegance about him but at the same time, he gets flustered easily. In essence, his inner child has not been attended to ever since “the incident” and he hasn’t allowed himself to nurture his need for love either. Seo KangJoon, ZE:A’s Park HyungSik, NCT’s JaeHyun, Yang SeJong, BTOB’s Yook SungJae, and Ji ChangWook would be absolutely perfect for this role. Note: The aim of the vote is for Kpopmap readers to share their opinion about their preference for the cast. It is not affecting the cast of the production team.
